Marketing Project Management Intern

Interning for the Gudetama Cafe, I learned the purpose of effective communications and operations when managing social media campaigns. Some key impacts I made during my time with the company:

  • Grew the Instagram by 5,000+ followers and increased engagement by 36% by executing social media campaigns

  • Enhanced KPIs by 16% by spearheading 3-month Excel-based content calendar, for 10+ initiatives to maintain marketing assets

  • Strengthened consumer connection by capturing branded visuals with DSLR photography and editing in Adobe Photoshop

Capturing the moment…

I was first tasked with taking digital photographs of all special events at the Gudetama Cafe and designing graphics for social media campaigns. Notably I photographed invited food influencers at the Sanrio & Nintendo event in celebration of “Hello Kitty Island Adventure”.

From there, I was in charge of:

  • Editing all photographs in Adobe Lightroom

  • Placing Sanrio licensing on all images in Adobe Photoshop

  • Creating digital graphics for social media campaigns

  • Sending all finalized photos to Sanrio marketing team via Basecamp

Communication is key…

After each event or in preparation of a new social media campaign, I would have to send all digital assets for the campaign through Basecamp to be approved by Sanrio. This includes photographs, SEO-focused captions, purpose for campaign, and outlines dates.

As someone navigating through the intersection of humans, machinery, and creativity, I developed an Excel content calendar where all digital assets and materials needed by Sanrio was centralized into one place.

This essentially streamlined communication processes between myself and Sanrio as I was able to fill out the calendar for the month and wait for their approval.
